MOUNTAIN VIEW YOUTH & FAMILY SERVICES - Looking for volunteers to help in the office filing, typing and general office organization. Qualifications Needed: Experience working with youth, teaching prevention courses. Skills Needed: Computer, data tabulation and display design. ONE-ON-ONE LITERACY PROGRAM - Looking for adults to tutor grade levels 1-4 in Carroll County, Grayson County and Galax City. Qualifications Needed: High school diploma or GED, minimum age - 18(6 hour training session) Skills Needed: Compassion and patience Hours volunteers are needed: Tutors typically meet with students twice weekly for 1-2 hour sessions once or twice per week.Any time - any day. Qualifications Needed: Enthusiasic and willing to work with adults and girls. Skills Needed: Organization skills. Hours needed: trainers = 2-3 hours per quarter; troop leaders = 2 hours weekly or 2 times monthly; camp assistant = 2 weekends per year.
